we melted our broken crayons and used the new rainbow crayons to make leaf rubbings, instructions are at Mumblers. Ours took less than 5 minutes to melt, so SquiggleMum is not joking about keeping an eye on them.
these chicks are a new addition to our flock
we made some activities from 1+1+1=1’s Dinosaur Tot Book
we got this awesome bowling set from our toy library
I made squishy bags and a clothespin poke from Trish Kuffner’s Toddler Busy Book. I hope it is obvious from the photo how the clothespin poke works. The squishy bag is made by mixing 4 tbsp cornflour with a small amount of water. Add this to 3 cups of boiling water. Cook and stir until thick. Add food colouring and allow to cool. Put in a ziploc bag. This stuff is very sticky, which I guess is why it goes in a bag.
we made spice pictures, found via The Crafty Crow
